Avalon Airport Intruder 
AVALON AIRPORT - 2025 Mar 06
About 2:50 p.m. a man with a firearm attempted to board a commmercial flight, JQ 610, (AVV-SYD) and was detained before getting onto the plane.
Police Officers attended and took the 17 year old man into custody.
No-one was injured and the investigation is ongoing.
The flight is still there, and HAS NOT departed for SYD.
Apparently the crew is still on board.
He was wearing high vis and told them he was maintenance
The Captain (an Ansett Pilot), and a passenger noticed that he had a shotgun, and a knife, and ‘took him down’ and handcuffed him until Police arrived.
Moama shearing contractor Barry Clark was in seat 1C:
“The passengers were all boarded. A man in high vis came onto the plane saying that he had to do maintenance."
